How do cashback rewards work? 

With this account, transaction thresholds are based on the type of transaction and the amount. For card transactions, every Platinum Debit Card spend of TZS100,000 is rewarded with one point equivalent to a cashback of TZS500. For every Classic Credit Card spend of TZ100,000 a customer is rewarded with one point equivalent of TZS300. On digital channels, a spend of TZS100,000 rewards the customer with one point equivalent of TZS300, while for an airtime purchase, every TZS10,000 minimum spend provides customer with one point equivalent of TZS100.

  • You must have a transactional account (Premier Current Account, Prestige Current Account, or Ultimate Current Account)
  • No minimum operating balance is required
  • No charges for transactions since this account is specifically for cashbacks from transactional accounts
  • No account opening balance is needed
  • Documents required to apply

    • Valid identity card (driving licence, national ID, passport or voter's ID)
    • Introduction letter from employer, from local government or from lawyer
    • Residential address letter from local government or utility bill receipt
    • Completed account opening application form
